The simple things in life.

I'm not unshakeable how, nor am I certainly sure I noticed, if even thing is such possible; but was I really showing signs of loosing my crafty consume?

Blogs not being read, jewellery not being designed, sewing not being stitched, my knitting seeming to be gathering more dust then length; what's happened to me?
Even my music! What was the last album I played in my stereo? To be straightforward, I seriously have no clue...

Where had my craftivity gone?
I pondered my conundrum for a moment and put the blame on school; I'd say that was easiest.
I sometimes be afraid of what my life would be life in 5, 10, even 20 years time. People like me are often known to love metamorphose, my life has changed in thousands of ways already and it's not even deemed started. Exams, well, practice exams I should say, are most likely the perpetrator to my crafting fall off. I surprisingly grew to notice that studying, (no, I'm not saying this in a teen angst-y way) but I found more so fried my brain out compared to help it. In the end I quit study, (miraculously passed my exams, relatively well in my reckoning) and focused my mind to other things.
Most would make up that putting a halt to my studious tasks would be sudden death to my hopes, dreams and aspirations as so for school goes but I have in mind I just badly needed a break. I also think that since I gave myself a break, it made me a lot calmer about life and going through 4 3 hour exams ( although at some stages a tad quite too calm, enough to question my friend, not knowing if we were about to enter a maths or and English exam; silly me).

Whilst I was ment to be studying for English, I just now so happened to have gone to my local department store, The Warehouse, the weekend earlier with mum and brought a relatively weighty container of lovely glass beads. Although I did so happen to glance occasionally at my English papers, I spent the a famous night making some lovely jewellery.

Frustrated With Foam: Another Magnet Gets Rejected

I got another magnet back from New England Crafters Wednesday. Even though I painted glue over my circles last but to ensure that the ultra fine glitter stayed on (it refused to stick to the fast-drying paint on the first sampling I sent in), my reviewer still said that I didn't use enough glitter. Apparently, some of the glitter rubbed off the edges of the painted circles in transition so I have to fix that and make my circles more circular. Uh, okay. My circles are way more circular than the sample I was given, but whatever. I'll use a stencil instead of a nut from my toolbox to intimation the circle this time around. No big deal.

What is a big deal, or what I'm having a problem with anyway is that the reviewer still wants me to cut my foam smoother. She suggested buying or using a sharper duo of scissors. What she doesn't know is that I used a brand new pair of scissors last time. Granted, they were from the Dollar Tree, but they were still brand new. How much sharper can you get than a trade name new pair of scissors?

Apparently, there must be sharper scissors out there. I did a quick search for craft scissors online and decided that craft scissors must be sharper than normal scissors, so I went onwards and splurged on a $7 pair of Cutter Bee scissors yesterday. They were the last pair of craft scissors left on Wal-mart's shelves. The box claims that the scissors are fast for detail cutting. While that may be true for detail cutting on paper, I'm still not finding that the scissors are making that much of a difference when it comes to detail cutting on foam. I've been infuriating to cut the foam for over an hour now, and I still can't get the sides of the foam any smoother than I did the last time with my Dollar
