Need A Torque Wrench


The wheels didn’t in off the car this morning but I felt some brake pulsation which could be an indicator that some of the lugs are improperly tightened. wTwNjzVFVU

I’ve been reading car forums and purchaser opinions and most people forego the expense of  a torque wrench and just tighten things up “until it feels right” or “feels like they won’t get off by themselves.”

Hmmm…  I think I’d prefer to  tighten the lugs to specifications using a torque wrench.  It’s an added expense, but I recollect having that peace of mind would be worth it.

Torque wrenches aren’t cheap but judging from my research, it’d be conquer to avoid torque wrenches that  are a little too budget priced.

Paraphrasing an oft expressed sentiment:  “It’s your protection and car parts are expensive.  Why risk over/under tightening components by going with a cheaply made tool?”

So it looks like I’ll wildly to various stores today (after doublechecking the lugs) to see what I can find.

The pickings are slim around here though…
